Bean and Bacon Pizza
Place oven rack in lowest position and
preheat to 425° F. Grease a pizza pan (12-inch) or 9x13-inch
baking pan. Press dough into greased pan. Bake for 5 minutes, or
until crust begins to brown. In a medium bowl combine beans
(undrained) onion slices and bacon. Spread bean mixture over the
pizza crust. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the bean mixture. Bake
for 8 to 12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Sift together flour and salt. Cut in shortening and add just enough ice water to hold together. Chill. Roll dough out to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut in squares large enough to cover a sausage (if using hot dogs, slice in 2-inch lengths). Place wrapped sausages or hot dogs on a lightly greased baking sheet; bake at 400° for about 15 to 20 minutes, until pastry coating is browned.
Trim crusts from bread and flatten with a
rolling pin. Spread filling not quite to edges and roll each
slice up into a cone shape, keeping one end open. Fasten with
toothpicks and refrigerate. Remove toothpicks to serve.
Makes 2 cornucopias.
Melt margarine in large saucepan. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and hot sauce. Stir in pecans. Spoon into glass baking dish and spread evenly. Toast at 400 degrees about 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Turn out on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.
Shrimp Stuffed Celery
Rinse shrimp; drain well on paper towels. Chop and combine with pineapple. Stir in parsley, onion, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Stir in mayonnaise. Stuff celery with shrimp mixture; cover and chill. Arrange stuffed celery on a lettuce lined tray and garnish as desired.
